Various Artists - Still our future you're messing up
Released on UK label Vile Records this important and exciting compilation features some of the most influential hardcore/UK82 punk bands ever, all with brand new songs. Some of the songs are from new albums by the featured bands and others are exclusive to this compilation. Vile Records is also responsible for the great releases that are Discharge - Disensitise and The Varukers - Killing Myself to Live. The bands featured on this compilation are Discharge, Riot Squad, Abrasive Wheels, Broken Bones, Varukers, English Dogs and One Way Sysyem and there are two tracks from each band and certainly no fillers! Every band have produced two blistering tracks, raising the bar really high. My personal favourite bands on the compilation have always been Abrasive Wheels and One Way System and their songs were excellent. Abrasive Wheels - Skum, taken from their brill new album with the same title is my absolute favourite on here, being a fan of the more singalong stuff rather than the really fast hardcore. I loved hearing this song live in Blackpool this year! I was also really impressed with both songs by Broken Bones and Mutiny by the English Dogs. That's not to say that the other bands havent done an equally good job, because they have. This really is a great compilation and is a must have release, proving that all of these bands still have it!
