Review: REVIEW:Discharge - Disensitise |
Discharge - Disensitise Discharge released their latest album, Disensitise, on their own label Vile Records in August 2008. The 14 track album, with lyric booklet, was self financed. It is also available on picture disc LP and is available for download. Vile Records is shaping up to be a great label and they have also released The Varukers - Killing Myself to Live and the ace compilation Still Our future You're Messing Up which features new tracks from some of the most influential 80s hardcore punk bands. Now back to Discharge- the Disensitise album is a blinder and fans of Discharge will know exactly what to expect musically and lyrically with songs dealing with issues such as war and government. It is typical Discharge but also sounds new and fresh. This album got a great review in The Sunday Times, receiving 4 stars! Well deserved I might add! Songs that particularly stand out are CCTV and Spoils of War, but every song is powerful, fast and brutal with Rat's strong vocals packing a punch. The album is well produced by Bri Doom and is a must for fans of hardcore punk. More information is available through the following website: www.discharge.co.uk 4 out of 5 Jeanna
