Copy of a Copy - This Is It
Copy of a Copy are a french hardcore/punk band from Toulouse. This Is It is their first album although they put out a 3 song self released EP in 2008. I am a big fan of French oi! so was interested in hearing some French hardcore and I was pleasantly surprised when I popped this into the CD player. The vocals are part singing-part screaming, the guitars are heavy and their sound is powerful and energetic but with some good melodies too. I especially enjoyed the songs Black List and Fable. Fans of Strike anywhwere, No Trigger and Comeback Kid will enjoy this. Copy of a Copy are not a groundbreakingly original band but their debut album is definitely worth a listen.
